Ambassador Reuven Merhav

Ambassador Reuven Merhav – Former Director-General of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Merhav established the first ever Israeli mission in Beijing. He served for years the Prime Minister’s office and within the Security and Intelligence Community. During this period, Mr. Merhav was stationed in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Iran. He is currently an Academic Fellow at both the Jerusalem Institute for Israel Studies (JIIS), and the International Dialogue Initiative (IDI). Reuven has authored several publications on Jerusalem, the Middle East, Ethiopia, and China-Israel related topics.
